My Old Shoes
My old shoes were full of holes
Everywhere I went I stubbed my toes
Scratched so bad and worn so thin
But still my feet just slid right in
My new shoes don’t fit that right
They're a little too shiny, a little too tight
But I know that soon they’ll fit much better
I feel so pretty when they’re on my feet
But sometimes My toes just wanna retreat
To that old beat up and tattered leather
‘cause nothin’ ever fit me better
In my new shoes I can dance
In my new shoes I can fly
I can dance (yeah)
I can soar
Like I never could before
I feel like
I can do anything at all in my new shoes
But they’re still a little too shiny and new
A little more shiny than I’m used to
But I know in time they're gonna fit me better
'Cause I’m doin’ my best to stretch the leather
My old shoes are so worn and thin
It would be so easy to slip right in
They were made for me in the exact right size
But they’re falling apart before my eyes
